Comics Residence 2019 in Malmö, Sweden, now open for application
The Swedish Comics Association is a non-profit organization that since 1968 promotes the art form of comics. Our activities are many and diverse, including a magazine, awards, a gallery, festivals, exhibitions, books, international exchange etc.
Within the Comics Residence 2019 we will offer residency to three comics artists from different parts of the world. We would like to provide a time of reflection, research, presentation and production. The opportunity to explore your practice within another community, meet new people and experience life in a new location.

During the residency
We would like for you to make a comic about your stay and you perception of Sweden. We will exhibit your work at our comics gallery at the end of the year. We also want you to hold presentations at different venues about yourself, your work and the comics scene in your country.
